PASTEL PENCILS

This is an example of work created using pastel pencils on Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper. Pastel pencils give a beautiful soft look to fur. This is the main medium I work in when creating commissions for people. Pastel pigments are very bright and it is a chalk like substance which can be layered and blended with ease creating stunning works of art.

COLOURED PENCILS

This work was created using coloured pencils on drafting film. Coloured pencils are an oil-based medium that can create incredible detail due to their ability to sharpen to a needlepoint. Coloured pencils are a slow medium to use and require two to three times the hours to complete in comparison to a pastel portrait.
